Emmy Award Winning Series 'Veep’ & ‘Silicon Valley' renewed by HBO

HBO is bringing back two of its original comedies, Veep and Silicon Valley that have been renewed for their seventh and fifth seasons, respectively. The critically acclaimed shows will make a comeback in 2018.
The political satire Veep, which will air in India on Star World and Star World HD, has accrued 11 Emmys thus far, with a record five wins for star Julia Louis-Dreyfus in the best lead actress in a comedy series category. The show has also taken home the Emmy for best comedy series two years in a row. Louis-Dreyfus has also received two SAG Awards for her portrayal of now-former president Selina Meyer.
Silicon Valley, from showrunners Mike Judge and former Seinfeld writer Alec Berg, has been nominated for 21 Primetime Emmy Awards and won two. The series, which will air in India on Star World and Star World HD, is about a startup set in the cradle of the tech industry and stars ensemble cast includes Thomas Middleditch, T.J. Miller, Zach Woods, Kumail Nanjiani, Martin Starr in the lead roles.
