MSSA and KMP, Pune to clash in WIFA Youth Championship final
Mumbai, May 1:  MSSA (Mumbai Schools Sports Association) Academy and Keshav Madhav Prathistan, Pune, both easily won their respective semi-final matches and advanced to the finals of the 1st WIFA State Youth Championship, which is being organized as part of the FIFA-AIFF State Development Project, and played at the Cooperage ground.
In the first semi-finals, home favourite MSSA struck top form in the second half scoring three times during this period to overcome city rivals Goans Sports Association 3-1. Strikers Rohan Fernando, Karskin D’Souza and Gerald Barreto, all netted a goal each to secure MSSA’s win, while Goans pulled one back through Arya Gandharva’s goal.
In the other semi-final match, Keshav Madhav Pratishtan blanked Nashik Football Coaching Centre by a comfortable 2-0 margin. Rohit Mangle scored the opening goal in the 12th minute before Ishwar Racheal fired home the second in the 52nd minute to seal the Pune team’s victory.
Results – Semi-finals: Keshav Madhav Pratishtan, Pune 2  (Rohit Mangle, Ishwar Racheal) beat Nashik Football Coaching Centre 0.
MSSA Academy 3 (Rohan Fernando, Karskin D’Souza, Gerald Barreto) beat Goans SA 1 (Arya Gandharva).
