ORRA's exquisite bridal jewellery line at Aashka-Brent wedding

Mumbai, 5th December, 2017: Telly actress Aashka Garodia married beau Brent Goble in an intimate ceremony over the weekend. Adorned with stunning jewellery from ORRA, Aaskha looked no less than an angelic bride draped in brilliant diamonds and dazzling gold.
While for her White wedding Aashka chose the stunning ORRA Crown Star string necklace paired with matching solitaire diamond earrings, a bracelet inspired from the fine lacework on her wedding gown and a marquise shaped two finger ring with three motifs standing for ‘today’, ‘tomorrow’ and ‘always’. She teamed these with her mother-in-law’s gown pristine gown worn 39 years ago.
The Sangeet ceremony saw Aashka adorned in dapper blue, chosen to match the color of Brent’s eyes. She adorned a classic polki hasli styled necklace set, jhumki earrings and matching maang tika, blue gemstone and diamond ring, a diamond cuff with blue gemstones and gold bangles. Designed intricately with Indian meenakari work by the fine craftsmen in Jaipur, the hasli necklace truly stood out as a work of art! Matching the hues of blue to the delicate undertones of her gown was truly a challenge that the ORRA team stood up to!
For her traditional Hindu wedding ceremony, Aashka took her vows draped in a beautiful lehenga by Rimple and Harpreet Narula. She teamed it with ORRA’s exclusive ‘Taj’ Necklace, Taj, standing as a symbol of love. The bridal necklace has been inspired from the intricate inlay work done on white marble on one of the wonders of the world, the Taj Mahal. This was teamed with matching earrings, nose ring and maang tika. To add a twist with the tinkling sound of the bangles, Aaskha wore one of ORRA’s statement pieces, the Ghunrgoo bangle, encased in between gold cuffs with fine enamel work and studded with gemstones. She complemented this with ORRA’s stunning Navratna Arsi ring studded with flawless gemstones.
Combining the elements of tradition and modernity, ORRA also designed customized pieces for Aashka to the tune of Rudraksha Pendants and a pair of Lord Shiva (Natraj) inspired earrings. Inspired by the tattoo on her arm, Aashka also had a custom made diamond mangalsutra with the mantra ‘Satyam Shivam Sundaram’ which means ‘truth is God and God is beautiful’, design now immortalized as a symbol of her marriage. Set in 18k and adorned with dazzling diamonds, the tanmaniya has been intricately designed to ensure each alphabet stands out clearly. Adding to its detailed finesse, the tanmaniya also has the trishul on one end and the dumroo on the other with the threads hanging by its side.
Mr. Vijay Jain (CEO and Director – ORRA) who was present at the ceremony to bless the newly married couple shared, “The first time I met Aashka was the 3rd of December, and what a sheer coincidence that she got married on that exact same date 7 years down the line. I was very happy to be there with her on her wedding date. There was always something special about Aashka and we have become good friends. When Aashka was buying the ORRA Platinum Couple rings from ORRA, it was infact one of the ORRA staff who called me to let me know that she was at the store. She brings her own style and sensibility to every that that she does and therefore for us the real challenge in designing the jewellery was building on the Indian ethos with a twist that was more contemporary and western for each occasion.”
