Bangalore, 26th April, 2018: The leading General Entertainment Channel in Karnataka, Zee Kannada, is now expanding its boundaries of entertainment with the telecast of the most-awaited Kannada Chalanachitra Cup. This cricket tournament witnessed the stars from Sandalwood industry lead the teams, indulge in the gentleman’s game, with the teams battling it out to win the Kannada Chalanachitra Cup. The entire tournament will be aired exclusively on Zee Kannada in the month of May: 12-13 and 19-20 May, between 5:00 and 7:30 PM.The Kannada Chalanachitra Cup (KCC) cricket tournament, was lead by the star of Sandalwood industry, Kiccha Sudeep. KCC a non-professional men’s cricket league that was contested by six teams including the Karnataka Cricket Players, headed by the idols of the Sandalwood industry. The teams include VIJAYANAGARA PATRIOTS ; HOYSALA EAGLES ; WODEYAR CHARGERS ; KADAMBA LIONS ; GANGA Warriors and RASHTRAKUTA PANTHERS by Rakshit Shetty. These teams were divided into two groups – Group A (Ganga Warriors, Kadamba Lions, Wodeyar Chargers) and Group B (Hoysala Eagles, Vijayanagara Patriots, Rashtrakuta Panthers), to give the audience an edgy game of cricket!
On Day 1 (12th May), the viewers will witness the auction and the first match of the tournament. The auction was executed in the presence of revered Indian former cricketer, spinner, captain, and coach of Indian Cricket team – Anil Kumble. The first match will include the battle between the outstanding teams, Vijayanagara Patriots and Hoysala Eagles. The cheer will only get louder on Day 2 (13th May), where the viewers have a treat with three matches for the night, between the famed Ganga Warriors v/s Wodeyar Chargers, Rashtrakuta Panthers v/s Hoysala Eagles and Vijayanagara Patriots v/s Rashtrakuta Panthers. The following weekend (19th May), will witness the semi-final where the qualified teams, Ganga Warriors v/s Kadamba Lions and Kadamba Lions v/s Wodeyar Chargers will fight for their spot in the finals. The two winning teams from the semi-finals, will clash in the finals to become champions of KCC 2018.
The renowned tournament comes to an end with sizzling performances by Zee Kannada’s fiction stars and tuneful musical performance by the contestants of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs. The famous Arjun Janya’s alluring live music cheered Kiccha Sudeep, Rocking Star Yash, and Hatrick hero Shivaraj Kumar to move their feet on this glorious night!
