Shri Suresh Chandra Panda has taken over the charge of the post of CEO, Prasar Bharati. Shri Panda is working as Member(Personnel), Prasar Bharati since April 2015.
Shri Panda is an IAS officer of 1981 batch of Assam Meghalaya cadre and retired as Special Secretary & Financial Adviser in the Ministry of Home Affairs on 28.02.2015.
A Post Graduate in Political Science from Utkal University, Odisha, M. Phil in Public Administration from Punjab University and MBA (Public Services) from University of Birmingham, U.K.
During his long and outstanding stint in public service, Shri Panda has handled many important Ministries/Departments and offices in Government of India as well as State Governments of Assam and Odisha. Before joining IAS, he was an IPS officer of 1978 batch of Uttar Pradesh Cadre, where for his exemplary services, he was decorated with President's Medal.
As has been stated above, in his long and outstanding public service, Shri Panda has gained wide experience in the whole gamut of public administration. His posting as DC Karimganj brought him laurels in service and he was awarded President's Silver Medal. Besides in the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, he held the post of Development Commissioner (SEZ), in which he not only gained immense experience but also contributed his best bringing widespread benefits to Government.
