The final day of the royal Neil Nitin Mukesh Rukmini Sahay resembled a Sooraj Barjatya film. It was a big fat Bollywood wedding with Neil being driven in a vintage car with Nasik Dhol dishing out some catchy beats. Naman Mathur was seen leading the baarat along with Neil's nephews. In the porch area turbaned guards hoisted NR emblem royal flags next to silver made larger than life elephant statues. Neil descended upon a silver encrusted dome that was bejewelled with crystals and white carnations on a maroon velvet backdrop. This looked like a scene straight out of Bajirao Mastani
Neil made an entry on Kabhi Kabhi Mere Dil Main Khayal while Rukmini made an entry on Chaand Si Mehbooba and the two met halfway to exchange garlands
Rukmini looked every bit the coy bride in a crystal and mogra curtain adorned doli with baby pink chiffon drapes while Neil looked every bit of the royal groom in his red zari sharwani
32 Kathakali dancers in mermaid costumes put their best foot forward as Neil and Rukmini exchanged the var maalas perched atop an elevated hydraulic stage that rose to the lit up skies amidst sparkling firework displays and pyro lights
Neils father gifted Rukmini with a beautiful heirloom gold set while Rukmini's brother gifted Neil a dapper looking sherwani as the bride and groom were pronounced man and wife. The two made a picture perfect couple as they hi fived one another once they seeked the blessings of their elders post the vow taking. The night was young as everyone let their hair down at the cocktail party.
The morning function included an intimate haldi celebration where there was a team groom and team bride face off match, beer pong sessions, zorbing ball, caricature artists, jenga blocks and tarot reading sessions
Radisson Blue set the perfect setting for the intimate fairytale wedding and everyone left the next day with a smile on their face and a song in their heart. Here's wishing the couple all the very best.
