Jackie Shroff and Subhash Ghai celebrate the re-premiere of Khalnayak at New Excelsior Mukta A2 Cinema, Fort

Jackie Shroff expresses his fandom for Dev Anand
Jackie Shroff is known for playing macho characters on screen. However, he recently admitted that he is a die-hard Dev Anand fan. At a special ‘meet and greet’ held today (11th June 2017) at the New Excelsior Mukta A2 Cinema in Fort for the re-premiere of his classic film Khalnayak, Shroff shared some of his fondest memories of filming with the ultimate Bollywood showman Subhash Ghai, who has directed the film, in addition to sharing his experience while shooting with the rest of the star cast.
Jackie Shroff has acted in many of Subhash Ghai’s directorial ventures. While talking about their journey together, Jaggu Dada said, “I am a huge Dev Anand fan. When we were filming for ‘Hero’, my dialogue delivery would come out in Devji’s style. At that time, Subhash Sir would remind me that I am supposed to sound more like Shatrughan Sinha, not Devji. I am very happy that our film Khalnayak is being re-premiered at India’s largest screen. I wish I could watch my favourite song from the movie ‘Der Se Aana Jaldi Jaana’ once again.”
Jackie Shroff was celebrating the re-premiere of Khalnayak, and made it just in time for a tête-à-tête with Subhash Ghai. He reached the venue at 11am, even though he had a flight to catch at 1.30pm. Jackie also admitted his love for Mukta Arts, and how Mukta Arts is like a mother to him.
