ALTBalaji is constantly creating content that’s path-breaking. Bringing yet another compelling concept is the next #ALTBalajiOriginal titled ‘Apaharan’. Recently the makers had announced Arunoday Singh as the lead actor for the show and now the very talented Nidhi Singh has been signed up by ALTBalaji to star in the series.
Nidhi who is a known name in the digital world is all set to create ripples with this show. She essays the role of Ranjana and is paired opposite Arunoday in the show.
‘Apaharan’ is a suspense thriller and revolves around Arunoday’s character – who once a celebrated cop, is now a tainted criminal. With a gripping plot, the show is filled with twists, turns, mysteries and web of lies.
Speaking about her association with ALTBalaji and the show’s concept, Nidhi said, “I have met some lovely people from the ALTBalaji creative team in the past and I am thrilled to finally be forming this association with ALTBalaji. When I read the script first, I couldn’t stop. It’s an extremely engaging and thrilling story and most brilliantly written. I am paired opposite Arunoday in the show and I am very excited to share screen space with a person who is not just a great actor but is also intelligent, kind and has a great sense of humour. My biggest priority is to be sure that I love the script and our director Siddharth Sengupta’s vision and understanding of the text is a class apart. I am really looking forward to the show.”
The show will be produced and directed by Siddharth Sengupta, who has earlier directed popular shows like 'Balika Vadhu' and 'Gulaal'. The shoot for the show has begun and will soon be streaming on the ALTBalaji app and the website.
