Maharashtra Inter-district football report

Mumbai defeated Pune District 4-0 in the final  on Sunday.
Impressive Mumbai emerge champions
Palghar, December 11: Mumbai District produced another impressive performance to outplay Pune District in the final and clinch the top honours in the WIFA-Maharashtra State Inter-District Sub-junior boys’ football championship, organised by the Palghar Dhanau Taluka Sports Association on Sunday.
The feature of Mumbai’s win was prolific goal-scorer Aryan Gandharva who struck a brace of goals the first in the 37th and the second in the 41st minute to put them in total control. Later Nihal Dudhwadkan with a strike in the 61st minute doubled Mumbai’s lead before Joel Barnes fired home the fourth goal in the 82nd minute.
Results – Final: Mumbai District 4 (Aryan Gandharva 2, Nihal Dudhwadkan, Joel Barnes) beat Pune District 0.
