AIR Bengaluru organized Prize Distribution function of Akashvani Music Competition 2017....,

In order to encourage children in the society, who learn music and show their talent on stage, All India Radio is creating unique opportunities for performers and upcoming talents across the nation said veteran carnatic vocalist M. S. Sheela. She continues, in order to become good artist, continuous practice and dedication is necessary, while she honored the prize winners of Akashvani Music competitions 2017 at Gayana Samaja, Basavanagudi, Bengaluru on last Friday. She remembered her olden days, she was also winner of Akashvani Music competation. Now a days all channels telecasting reality shows, this was started by Akashvani long back through music programme.

Since 114 years, Bengaluru Gayana Samaja stage was dedicated to the music lovers and artist. We expect all of you will perform in this stage in near future said by Dr. M. R. V. Prasad, President of e Bengaluru Gayana Samaja. All India Radio has been playing a very important role for maintaining a high quality of its classical/light/folk music programme by the process of music auditions and All India level AIR Music competition and this has been a very well planned and time tested system, by this process, artistes all over the country are graded according to their performance quality starting from B grade to Top grade said H. S. Saraswati, Station Director of All India Radio, Bengalure. India has always been known as the land that portrayed cultural and traditional vibrancy through its conventional art and music. The Indian Music and classical music speak volumes about the Country's rich heritage she said.

Ten prize winners of various categories of music will be honored on this occasion. Followed by the Musical performances by the winners. Every year All India Radio organizing AIR music competition prize distribution function at a time all over India. This time 8 cities were selected for this purpose. All the music lovers gathered and expressed happiness during this function.
