A Pancha Kundiya "Gayatri Yagna" was organised by Doordarshan Staff Welfare Society in the campus of Staff Colony of Doordarshan Kendra, Bhubaneswar on 14.01.2019 on the auspicious day of "Makara Sankranti". Bhumi Pujan was held on 12.01.2019 and Kalasha Yatra was organized on 13.01.2019 in which more than 50 nos. housewives of staff members went on a procession with Kalasha and collected holy water from a pond near to the Chandrasekhar Jew Shiv Mandir situated in the premises of OSAP 7 th Battalion Colony. A large numbers of devotees including family members of Staff of Doordarshan , CCW , NABM & AIR stationed at Bhubaneswar and retired employees of Doordarshan attended the Gayatri Yagna on 14.01.2019 . After the Gayatri Puja, Prasad was offered to all . In the evening of 14 th January, a colourful cultural programme was organised in which the children of Staff presented Solo Song , Dance , Skit etc.
