A vibrant, interactive, high-octane workshop for All India Radio's RJs comes to a close in Guwahati, the first such workshop in the North-East! This was in the sidelines of the dedication to the people of Assam - by Fayyaz Sheheryar, Director General, AIR - of a 10 KW FM Transmitter for Guwahati A channel, now rechristened as AIR FM Mahabahu!
I was fortunate to take the concluding class of the workshop.
The inaugural class was by none other than the Director General himself. The RJs listened with awe and rapt attention as he held forth on the impact of spoken word on radio listeners with stress on accuracy of language & diction, authenticity of syntax, and modulation of audio.
The workshop was admirably organised by the Guwahati Station of AIR in association with the #AssamSahityaSabha.
