InterGlobe Hotels to build ibis property in Thane, Mumbai


·        InterGlobe Hotels recently concluded a deal of a strategic, prime land parcel in Thane, Mumbai to build an ibis property in this important sub-urban city business hub
·         At an estimated project cost of approximately INR 150 crores, the proposed hotel will feature 195 rooms and also include a large meeting space.
·         Currently IGH has 14 operational ibis hotels in India and another three in Kochi, Coimbatore and Pune over the next two-three months.
·         Located within the Thane Central Business District (CBD), the ibis site will cater to accommodation demand generated both from Thane CBD as well as the nearby Wagle Industrial Estate
New Delhi, 21 December 2016 - InterGlobe Hotels has concluded a land deal in Thane, Mumbai to build another ibis hotel in the fast growing sub-urban town of Thane. The land acquisition is part of a longstanding JV between Accor Hotels and InterGlobe Hotels established in 2004.
Currently, IGH has 14 ibis hotels operational in India with another three in Kochi, Coimbatore and Pune, Hinjewadi are set to launch in the next calendar year. The group’s property in Kolkata which is under construction will be operational by the end of 2018. Furthermore, the expansion of the ibis New Delhi Aerocity from the current 315 rooms to its full inventory of 445 is scheduled for January 2017. With another 6 hotels under development and planning, IGH’s total inventory in India is projected to be 3,600 rooms by 2020.
Strategically located close to the Viviana Mall and surrounded by some of the key commercial, retail and hospitality developments of the region, the location is a preferred destination for business travellers to the region. The ibis Thane proposes to feature a 195-key hotel and over 300 sq. meters of meeting space.
