6Degree unveils established designers Fahd Khatri & Nandini Baruva on the fourth day of the ongoing Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2017

Mumbai, February 5, 2016: 6Degree, India’s leading fashion talent and tech platform launched two emerging and talented young designers Fahd Khatri and Nandini Baruva on the fourth day of the 5-day Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2017 held in Jio Gardens  Mumbai. The new generation designers provided a heady mix of creativity on the 6Degree STUDIO platform and grabbed the attention of all the rows in the audience
One of India’s first fashion talent and tech startup launched in 2014 by Nikhil Hegde and Amit Bhardwaj, 6Degree has signed a two-year deal with LFW as its official partner wherein the 6Degree Studio was the key highlight. It is
a mobile-based platform offering designers, fashion services ranging from catalog shoots, brand management, and PR to launches at multi-designer stores. STUDIO is a subscription-based platform offering expertise and helping designers take their brand to the next level via engagement and opportunities. The strategic association with Lakmé Fashion Week will enable 6Degree to build its brand equity on a global front and grow significant revenue; apart from giving the young and emerging designers an upgraded platform to present their fresh and cutting- edge styles on. The partnership for the next four seasons began with Lakmé Fashion Week Winter-festive 2016

Hailing from a family that handles a textile business since 4 generations, Fahd Khatri is the founder of his own label and is an entrepreneurial designer.He is known for his creations that are a mix of stylish cuts, rich aesthetics of Indian culture and vibrant hues to match international standards of quality and diversity. Fahd’s latest collection 'Tim-Bak-Two', named after the city located on the southern edge of the Sahara Dessert, emphasizes on the freedom to wear a garment as per one’s needs. Inspired by the convertible cars from 1930's and combining the idea with the nature of The Sahara Desert, the collection is dedicated to the young, enthusiastic women of modern India who love to travel.He aims to help them in reducing the burden to carry clothes.
“Every young and aspiring fashion designer need the correct platform in this industry to get a head start. Although I have been associated with a couple of fashion weeks, 6Degree gave me the chance to be a part of this prestigious fashion extravaganza to help me establish a larger connect with my consumer base and expand my label’s impression extensively across the country as well as on the globe page,” said Designer Fahd Khatri.
Guwahati-based designer Nandini Baruva of label Kirameki who is also a recipient of the prestigious ‘Dalmia Bharat Cement Certificate for Excellence’ for her outstanding talent, showcased her mystical collection featuring a seamless integration of ethnic tradition and western expression. The collection embodies sustainable fashion, natural fabrics are woven primarily from pineapple and banana fiber. The design muse revolves around the small weaving hamlets of Assam, hand woven tales of natural fibers that are woven into natural and organic fabrics.  Influenced by multi-layered cultures, various ethnic tribes of northeast India, the collection was focused more on functionality and sustainability
