Reprised versions of popular chartbusters from the 70s and 80s seems to be making a comeback in the Bollywood industry. However, Divya Khosla Kumar takes it a notch further and reprises the not-so-old and super popular 2003 chartbuster Kabhi Yaadon Mein, creating quite a stir across social media and her fans from all over.
Surpassing 8 million views and counting, this is one of the few times a song has reached such heights and garnered such reviews within only 6 days of its release!
Celebrating the smashing success and the positive response to the soul stirring song, Divya held a success gathering with her dear friend Sridevi and the cast and crew of the hit single, Mohit Malhotra(lead actor in the song), Jason Dsouza(Divya's son in the song), Ashish Panda(Director) and Sameer Arya(DOP).
Sridevi looked like a million bucks in black and pink while Divya stood out in an all white ensemble, gracefully posing for the shutterbugs and interacting with the crowd.
" To have my assistant director work on this song and be the head director, directing me, was a chance I thought Ashish deserved. It was my father in laws dream; Gulshanji ka sapna, ki har ghar ho apna. That's what we tried to show through this video, the undying love between a mother and son. Something which everyone can relate to. The original song was my first connection with Tseries. Ofcourse back then I did not know the relation would grow so strong and so deep. I would like to thank all my fans and the audience for giving us so much love and appreciating Kabhi Yaadon Mein!" said and elated Divya.
The evergreen and gorgeous Sridevi was invited on stage to share her thoughts on the lovely song. She said, "Every moment is special with our children, we can never pin point on just one memorable occasion. Divya looked ravishing in the video and the storyline is simply amazing. It is well picturised, a beautiful song and an emotional feel. She has directed two superhit films and I am very happy for my dear friend's video to be a hit too!"
