The Real Estate Management Institute- REMI recently hosted the ‘REMI Connect 2017’ in collaboration with Nishith Desai Associates (NDA) in Mumbai. The REMI Connect was launched as a part of REMI’s celebrations on the successful completion of 2 Years of the Institute, to create an exclusive platform that fosters knowledge sharing among all key industry stakeholders.
In line with REMI’s vision towards industry development in real estate, this initiative, which will be hosted quarterly, saw a steady mix of REMI’s alumni, corporate affiliates and industry experts. The
Event saw participation from leading organisations such as Ajmera Realty, The Kanakia Group, The Wadhwa Group, Rustomjee, Mayfair Housing, Marathon Realty, Rodium, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas to name a few.
The program had keynotes and discussions that were delivered by industry experts who led the participants through well –prepared, highly relevant presentations.
The sessions covered a wide range of discussions on The New Reality of Realty, Key Changes from the Regulatory / Statutory perspective (RERA/ GST), the Capital Raising Market in Real Estate and new opportunities in real estate sector.

REMI’s Business Head, Shubika Bilkha, opened the event discussing the impact of the new regime on the real estate sector and highlighting the key aspects that real estate companies were focusing on to align their businesses to compliance.
The program ended with a celebratory Cocktails and Networking which offered the participants, speakers and invitees a great opportunity to discuss key issues in the sector and build relations.
The success of the ‘REMI Connect 2017’ can be measured by the fact that participants expressed the need for many such programs and asked for trainings to be conducted by The Real Estate Management Institute for their individual organisations.
