Donald D’Souza joins Equirus Capital to drive new initiatives

Mumbai, Dec 15: Donald D'Souza, who headed equity capital market teams at HDFC and Kotak Mahindra Capital, has joined Equirus Capital as Managing Director to drive its new initiatives. Equirus Capital, a mid-market focused full service investment bank had done some hiring recently to scale up its current business as well as expand its bouquet of offerings with PMS.
Donald, an alumnus of IIM, Ahmedabad, has worked with many of the largest corporates and private equity groups in senior positions during his two decade-long career, and brings on board his vast expertise in all equity products and investment banking.
“As the MD - New Initiatives, Donald will play a key and pivotal role in strengthening existing product portfolio and further exploring new opportunities for expanding our bouquet of product offerings,” said Equirus Capital founder

Apart from heading ECM teams at Kotak Mahindra Capital and HDFC, he also served as President - Investment Banking at IIFL and Director - Investment Banking at CLSA India Limited. He was also associated with JM Morgan Stanley in early days of his career. For the last two years, he was Partner at Veriquity Advisors.
Known as a sports enthusiast in the corporate world, he keeps himself fit by playing badminton and is a long-distance runner.
