It was reported that nearly 50,000 people from 2,498 villages have left their homes and taken shelter in temporary relief camps set up in schools, government buildings and on embankments in 16 of the worst-hit districts.
Mahika requested to her fans, friends and other NGO's to come forward as helping hand for the families and communities who are victim to nature.
Mahika adds, "My land Assam has been facing problems because of floods. Many people have lost their life. Many are struggling. They need funding to get back their home. we all are brother and Sisters. Please come ahead and help the state."
"Morigaon district and near by places, which are the worst affected areas in Assam. The villages around need help and proper funding to get back to their regular life. I am thankful to Government and other peoples inclusing NGOs and celebrities who are showing concern for the flood. The compulsory needs are of safe drinking water, supplementary nutrition, hygiene, education and child protection," Sharma concludes.
