DD News launches new website, www.ddnews.gov.in

Information and Broadcasting Minister Venkaiah Naidu on Thursday launched the new website of DD News (www.ddnews.gov.in). Mos Information and Broadcasting Rajyavardhan Rathore, I&B Secretary N K Sinha, Prasar Bharati Chairman Surya Prakash, CEO Shashi Shekhar Vempati were also present on the occasion. The new DD News website gives an insight of news and features from across the world. Stories can be read in Hindi and English and a LIVE webcast lets you watch DD News on the go. Speaking on the occasion, Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu stressed upon improving the efficiency of news.The new website has a richer colour scheme. The open source technology used in the website makes it more responsive. For instance, if you open it on your mobile phone, it will adjust according to your screen size, so that you can read the website easily on your mobile, tablet, laptop or computer. Viewers can watch their favourite programmes, including all the latest editions of PM's Mann Ki Baat. The new website also displays real-time weather updates. Viewers can also share stories from the website on social media platforms. For those suffering from colour blindness, the website also gives an option to change the contrast of the screen.
