About the First Look Poster- The authentic verdict of the Dhananjoy case back in 2004 forms the backdrop of the poster. The creative also exhibits Dhanonjoy's face in a red blur, red being synonymous with blood and death. Dhananjoy Chatterjee, a security guard, was executed and hanged to death in the early hours of 15th August 2004, after serving imprisonment for 14 long years and after having appealed to all levels of court in the country; and finally, to the President of India.
The logo of the film has elements of a noose and words related to the specific case and the law engraved in it. The inky blotch at the end of the last letter 'Y' signifies the nib breaking custom followed by the judges post the announcement of capital punishment.
