
Cuttack witnessed a ‘captivating musical night’ as season 4 of Imperial Blue Superhit Nights culminated in the city with an enthralling performance by Farhan Live. India’s most-loved rock star, Farhan Akhtar and his band took over the stage at Balijatra, Upper Ground, Cuttack and mesmerised the audience with his biggest hits.
The event saw a power packed full house who tapped their feet to Farhan Akhtar’s superhit numbers all through the concert. Setting the stage on fire with his energy and bewitching charm, Farhan Akhtar was accompanied by a troupe of talented and skilful musicians. Marking the magical tone of the night, Farhan began with the popular song ‘Pichle Saat Dino’. As Farhan Live performed their chart topping numbers like ‘Socha Hai’, ‘Main Aisa Kyun Hoon’ , ‘Senorita’ and, they enthralled the city at the glorious musical feast. The enthusiasm of the crowd reached its peak as the band performed some of Farhan’s most popular songs including ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ and ‘Havan Kund’. As the show ended with the famous chartbuster ‘Rock On’, it was quite a spectacle to see Farhan Akhtar win the hearts of his fans who showered him with their love and cheer.

The launch was hosted by award-winning author Ravi Subramanian, who spoke highly about Sanya’s debut as an author and her book. Commenting on her debut novel, Sanya commented, “My intent to write this book was to enable people to empathize with these girls even if they had never been in their position. I wanted to bring to light the critical situation that sadly exists in this day and age. The book has also been written with the intent that their stories urge everyone to collectively do something and rectify the wrong. I hope someday the sympathy we all have towards the victims of violence and injustice turns into significant actions." Smt. Amruta Fadnavis who has always been vocal about social issues and has worked towards a better today commented, ""The book talks about the dark realities of life which Sanya has written so passionately about. She has delved into the truth which we shy away from. When such a young generation talks about such a stark reality, there is hope for the future." Speaking more on the book, Smt.Amruta commented," I have seen a few cases of acid attacks, but the book has given me a real time view. I think every women is a power house and they need to start standing up for themselves now." Having served as a catalyst for change in the society at a young age, Sanya intends to highlight the plight of young women in our country and propel action with her book - "Ten Dollar Bride."
