National, February 15, 2018: From being India’s first ever adventure based reality show to being the longest running adventure reality show, Roadies has re-defined the meaning of road expedition on Indian television. After the successful run of fourteen years, MTV, the universe of the youth is back with the fifteenth and most grueling season, Renault MTV Roadies Xtreme powered by Oppo co–powered by ID Shoes & Durex. As the cult reality show turns fifteen, it urges the contestants to step up, stand out and bring out their toughest side. Having propelled many to be a part of an incomparable journey that enables a person to come across his or her potential, Roadies has shown the youth of the country that the mirror that reflects what they truly are and where their capabilities lie. Taking the fifteenth edition, a notch higher Roadies will offer its viewers a season filled with utmost thrill, excitement and adrenaline rush.
Throwing up some twisted surprises for not only audience and contestants but also the gang leaders will be, veteran Roadie, Rannvijay Singha. While he ushers the ‘unexpected’ this time around, adventure squad - Girl Boss,Neha Dhupia, Indian television’s heartthrob, Prince Narula, seasoned Roadies judge, Nikhil Chinapa and celebrated rapper, Raftaar will embark on the most exciting and adventurous driving sojourn of their lives along with their gang members this Sunday, 18th February, 7.00 PM.
Roadies Xtreme will be an exhilarating offering for adventure junkies and thrill- seekers, treating them to a little indulgence with a ride into the wild, heart-pounding tasks and nail-biting escapades. Embarking on a quest for survival, this season will be Xtreme in every sense for gang leaders as well as the gang members- right from the destination, to nerve-wrenching tasks. Braving extreme conditions and fighting it out along with the gang leaders, Roadies will commence their journey from the picturesque locations and the extreme climatic conditions of Shillong, followed by Kaziranga, Bhalukpong, Itanagar and Ziro. Undoubtedly the one contestant who will display right balance of mental and physical strength surpassing the hurdles of task and unexpected surprises will win the ultimate battle come out as a ‘Roadie’.
Commenting on being a part of the fifteenth season of Roadies, Rannvijay Singha said, “MTV Roadies keeps surprising me with each new season. Having been a part of the first season of Roadies as a contestant, to being a gang leader and now as someone who throws up surprises for the gang leaders and contestants, it’s been an extremely satisfying journey for me. For me, Roadies will always be the most defining factor in my life and because of its innovation season on season makes me go back to it. Roadies being in its milestone season, I’ll ensure there are enough twists and turns at every level possible.”
While the only female gang leader, Neha Dhupia added, “Roadies is one such show which enables the youth to outperform themselves. It’s overwhelming to see the phenomenal response the show has received year on year. Personally, I am very intrigued by the concept of the show and I love the passion that the contestants emanate. They dream of becoming a roadie and are willing to do practically anything to achieve that. That spirit, to me, is impressive. It’s a show filled with thrill and passion – something that suits me very well.”
Taking up the challenge, gang leader, Nikhil Chinappasaid, “There are very few shows which attain cult status in the country and Roadies is one such show. In the past 14 years’ lot has changed but one thing that has not changed is audience love and passion for this show…which keeps its going for such a long time. It’s a milestone year for the show so it’s definitely going to be bigger, better and of course the most extreme season ever.”
Making a comeback on Roadies, Prince Narula said, “What I am today I owe it all to Roadies. I am back with an invigorated zeal and with an aim to win the show. I am someone who loves to take up challenges and all I want say is that I am absolutely game for the most extreme season of Roadies.”
Commenting on his first stint with Roadies, Raftaar said, “Roadies has a huge fan following among the youth and it feels great to be associated with a show that has been encouraging the youngsters to discover themselves and push their limits. This being my first time on Roadies I am pretty kicked about being a part of it and working with other gang leaders.”
