The Ministry of Textiles is organizing more than 218 camps in handloom and handicraft clusters across the country, under the initiative “Hastkala Sahyog Shivir”. The camps will be organized during 19th February to 24th February, 2018.
Two camps are being held during this period by Weavers’ Services Centre, Mumbai as follows:
1. Near Hanuman Mandir, Bajrang Dal Chowk, Nagade, Nasik; on 22nd February, 2018, from 11.00 AM onwards, to be inaugurated by Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Nasik, Shri Harishchandra Deoram Chavan
2. M/s Simant Mangal Sabhagrih, Near Amba Apsara Talkies, Aurngpura, Aurangabad; on 24th February, 2018 from11.00 AM onwards, to be inaugurated by Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Aurangabad, Shri Chandrakant Bhaurao Khaire
The following services will be provided to the weavers and artisans in these camps:
· Sanction of loans under MUDRA scheme
· Distribution of looms and accessories under Hathkargha Samvardhan Sahayata
· Distribution of modern tool kits and equipments to artisans
· Issuance of Yarn Pass Books to weavers
· Placement of order for yarn at subsidized rates
· Enrollment under IGNOU/NIOS courses
· Issuance of Pehchan ID cards
· Collection of application for enrolment of weavers under Pradhan Mantri Jivan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY)
Apart from these activities, awareness-building sessions and live demonstrations would be held on the following initiatives:
· e-Dhaga app
· Bunkar Mitra helpline
· NGO Darpan Portal
· Goods & Services Tax
· Ongoing handloom census
· Handloom schemes
· Geographical Indications
· Direct Benefit Transfer
· Public Finance Management System (PFMS)
· Services provided by Common Service Centres
Weavers who are National Awardees, Sant Kabir Awardees and National Merit Certificate Holders would be present on the occasion, apart from All India Handloom Board Members, designers, weavers’ cooperative societies and state organizations related to the textiles sector.
