The song Bloody Hell featuring Kangana Ranaut is out and true to its expectations, it lives up to the hype. For the powerful performer that Kangana is, she proves yet again that she's the heart and soul of Vishal Bharadwaj’s this epic saga. However, it's not just Bharadwaj’s vision and Kangana's stellar performance which made the song such a rage.
According to reliable sources, the 51-year-old filmmaker has flown down Norway-based choreographer, Sudesh Adhana, to train Kangana Ranaut for the song, “Bloody Hell”. The actress who plays a diva from the forties, rehearsed through November and had perfected her moves by the time they shot the song in December.
“Sudesh is not just a choreographer but also a lecturer in modern dance. We collaborated on an opera in Paris, A Flowering Tree, which I directed and he choreographed. Then, we joined hands for Haider’s “Bismil” which bagged him a National Award. He is an unusual personality. This song is from a film within the film and Kangana worked really hard to get the dance form right,” says Vishal who is busy with the postproduction of the Sajid Nadiadwala produced film.
The star of the song, Kangana Ranaut is however confident that her opera-styled song will leave fans floored. "I'm better known for my so-bad-it's-good dance. But in this film, I did three major dance sequences in the first schedule," says Kangana. She further added that for the first time ever, she felt incompetent as contemporary dancers from Europe were flown in for the song."
"Dance in the '40s was about high energy and for me, it was all too new. I rehearsed a lot and I don't think I was amazing. But, I wasn't terrible either. Julia is a first rate performer and to justify her popularity, I needed to be damn good. However, I was determined. Even if it meant breaking bones, I had to do it for this part," she further added.
It is well known that Kangana's character around which the movie revolves is Vishal Bhardwaj and Gulzar's homage to the boisterous women if the '40s. On this Kangana says, "Julia is ambitious in life, in love. She lives a day life, loves two men at the same time."
With such amazing performances flowing in each day and the latest entertainment bonanza in the form of the song Bloody Hell, we're certain that fans just cannot wait for the film to hit the theatres.
