In 40 years of Hindi cinema, few songs have been able to stir passion and emotion the way, dil kya karen jab kisiko kisi se pyar ho jaye from the 70s hit Julie did. The album for which music composer Rajesh Roshan won the Filmfare trophy (1976) is back to haunt listeners, albeit in a new form in Rakesh Roshan’s Kaabil. Picturised on Yami Gautam and Hrithik Roshan, the reprised version sung by the award-winning playback singer, Jubin Nautiyal, has the same haunting quality of the 70s version and is picturised with a lot of love on the visually-impaired couple, who set out to make a perfect-world for themselves, till destiny wills otherwise.
Not only does the song compel you to give into it's magic, it also leaves you mesmerized and moved.
