New Year’s first long weekend, the republic day weekend is fast approaching and people in the city have started packing their bags for a mini vacation. A set of travellers doesn’t like year-end crowd at the tourist places and avoids travelling during that time. Indian domestic travel market is evolving where people freeze their holiday plans months in advance even for short weekend trips. Recently, some airlines (Jet airways) have also announced sale wherein people travelling after 15 Jan get discount on their tickets. This has helped to reinforce the air travel trend even further.
