March 2017, Mumbai: On March 5, 2017, Dome @ NSCI hosted ‘a confidence walk for acid survivors’ in association with Divyaj Foundation which is an initiative by Amruta Fadnavis in association with Maharashtra State Women’s Council for acid survivors.
Amruta Fadnavis, who has led this initiative, also launched a music video aptly titled, 'Alag mera yeh rang hai' to which she has lent her voice as well. Honorable Chief Minister of Maharashtra Mr. Devendra Fadnavis was a part of the event and felicitated the acid attack victors as well as the contributors for the cause. Mr. Fadnavis announced the increase of cash benefit that will be given to the survivors from 3 Lakhs to 5lakhs.
Mr. Mazhar Nadiadwala – MD, Dome Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. was one of the achievers to receive a token of appreciation from Mr. Devendra Fadnavis for his contribution to the survivors. The event saw a host of celebrities, Sonali Bendre, Juhi Chawla, Vivek Oberoi, Anu Malik, Sakshi Tanwar, Divya Khosla and many others. Also, contributing the cause, Vivek Oberoi offered one of the survivors a job as well as an apartment to reside in.
Mr. Mazhar Nadiadwala said, “It gives us great privilege to host an event like this at Dome @ NSCI. It is not just an event but our contribution to the society by being a part of this event. As a venue we look upon hosting many such events in future.”
