Mumbai, June 9: The Topspinners, riding on impressive performances from their women player Divya Mahajan and youngster Shrusthi Helangadi registered crucial wins in round four and five league matches to finish at the top of Group-B and qualify for the semi-finals of the Capital First-Mumbai Super League (MSL) Table Tennis Championships, organized by 11Even Sports Pvt. Ltd. under the auspices of MCDTTA and MSDTTA, and played at NSCI, Worli on Saturday.
In the fourth round, The Topspinners coasted to a 6-3 win against King Pong and followed it up with another fine win against ACE by a similar scoreline to complete the league with 250 points to take top position in the group and book their place in the penultimate round. King Pong with 210 points finished in second place and joined The Topsninners in the semi-finals.
Divya Mahajan and youngster Shrusthi Helangadi were unbeaten in their respective women singles and junior girls’ singles and the mixed doubles natches in both the rounds and that helped The Topspinners ease to victories. Dev Shroff played a good supporting role winning three of his four matches, junior boys singles and junior boys/girls’ mixed doubles.
High Tide and Blazing Bashers, both with 210 points progressed to the semi-final from Group-A.  
In the semi-finals, The Topspinners will cross swords with High Tide and King Pong will clash with Blazing Bashers.
