Divyaj Foundation Celebrates World Yoga Day with children of farmer's who have committed suicide.

Divyaj Foundation is an NGO concerned with social utility programs. The Foundation is recognized for programs like Confidence walk for Acid-Attack Survivors and other women upliftment programs. 
One of their recent initiatives was for BMC women sweepers held at Nehru Science Centre, Worli which not only focused on the Physical Fitness but also Mental Wellness of these women. Various activities conducted in the program include Yoga, Meditation, the dietary importance of Ayurveda, Skin problems, Family Welfare and Planning, Etc.               
Divyaj is the brainchild of Amruta Fadnavis. A banker by profession, classical singer by training and social activist by choice. Currently, she is focusing on ‘Women Empowerment’ & ‘Development’ of Rural India’ with the aim of effective social change. She adopted village ‘Fetri’ & village ‘Kawdas’ for the development and economic upliftment. Her goal is to improve Village Sanitation & Infrastructural Development. 
On 21st June, World Yoga Day Divyaj Foundation in association with Shantilal Mutha Foundation is organizing a wellness program for Children of Farmer Suicide Victims. It would include around 650 children between the age group of 10 to 17 years from the extremely rural area of Maharashtra. The progra, presided by Amruta Fadnavis will focus on topics like Yoga, Mental Health and Meditation along with other motivation talks which help them to fight with the issues children go through. The event will be attended by the Honorable Chief Minister of Maharashtra Mr. Devendra Fadnavis. 
Divyaj has arranged and is continuing to do the best it could to the society and As a social activist and mother herself, Amruta was prompted to take this initiative. She is Maharashtra's First Lady in a true sense.
