Shri. A.Y. Sarode, Asst. Engineer HPT Malad retires on 31st Auigust, 2019


Shri. Avinash Y. Sarode joined Vividh Bharati Services, Mumbai on 18 Feb. 1982 as Engineering Assistant. On 31st December 1987 he got promotion as Senior Engg. Asst. and posted in Office of Chief Engineer (WZ) Mumbai.   On 1st December 1989 he was transferred to HPT Malad, Mumbai on same post. On 16th January 1992 he became Asst. Engineer and worked in HPT Malad till 16th January 2007. On same post he was transferred to AIR Ahwa and worked as Head of Station. On 16th June 2007 he got promotion of Asst. Director (E) at AIR Ahwa. In March 2009 he was transferred to HPT Malad, Mumbai. He worked as AD(E) till 2018. On 31st August 2019 he retired on superannuation as Asst. Engineer.  

His major contribution is, installation of FM AIR Chhindwara, pre-inspection measurement work of FM stations of Chindwara, Betul, Akola, Godhra, Khandwa which includes  Acoustic and RT measurements , Studio equipments, FM transmitter. Also worked in MELTRON  for inspection work of CTRs, CTDs, 961 Meltron and OB Consoles, TDs, OB van. Worked at HPT AIR MALAD where operation and maintenance of 100 kW MW Mumbai A & B BEL HMB-140 transmitter, 50 kW MW Continental transmitter, 100 kW SW BBC transmitters, DRM 100 kw NAUTEL A and B transmitter., supervision of technical works were carried out with full dedication.

A farewell party was organised in HPT Malad. His perseverance and devotion was well appreciated by senior officers. More than 37 years of dedicated service rendered towards betterment of organisation will always be remembered. He was also active in socio-cultural field. From year 1996 to 2000 he was General Secretary of recreation club. Till his retirement he actively involved in various activities carried out in club like celebration of Ganesh Festival, Independence Day, Republic Day etc. He will be remembered as sober, humble, sincere and hardworking officer for years.

All staff of AIR HPT Malad and well wishers wish him happy, healthy and prosperous retired life.
