Sri. Udayadri, Asst. Director(P), CBS AIR Bangaluru retires on superannuation .....



Sri Udayadri, Assistant Director (Programme) in Commercial broadcasting Service, All India Radio, Bengaluru will be attaining superannuation on 31st August 2019 after rendering 35 glorious years in the field of broadcasting. He will be remembered for his high quality programmes like Features, Dramas, Interviews, Live phone-in and especially for Spandana, a public grievance related programme. His contribution through AIR broadcast ( continuously for 108 days) in the successful release of legendary Kannada film personality Dr.Rajkumar, who was kidnapped by notorious bandit Veerappan was widely appreciated across the state.

He joined All India Radio at Mangalore as Transmission Executive in the year 1984. Later he was selected as Programme Executive through UPSC in the year 1991 and was posted at All India Radio, Mysore. He became Assistant Director (programme) in the year 2014 at Primary channel of All India Radio Bengaluru and in the month November 2017 he was transferred to Commercial Broadcasting Service, Bengaluru as Programme Head. Sri Udayadri also had a brief stint at Doordarshan Kendra, Bengaluru during the period 1997-98.

Sri Udayadri is known for his superb skill in revenue generation for All India Radio. In the last decade, he was the main contributor with respect to Karnataka stations of All India Radio achieving and crossing revenue targets every time. Sri Udayadri will always be remembered for his dedication towards work, Innovative ideas in broadcasting, Communication & Presentation skills, a great team player and above all a wonderful human being. His commitment, dedication, simple and positive approach in dealing and ever smiling face have been inspiration for all.
