The 'New Normal' is here and looks like it's going to stay on for a while. Time has come to accept and adapt to the changed circumstances.
Radio programs presented by groups of people followed the age old practice of writing scripts and rehearsing the approved scripts in common place before coming to the studios for actual recording. But now physical proximity and unnecessary travel are the concerns that come in the way.
So we decided to try the 'Work From Home' concept. The 'Lekhika Sahitya Vedike' - Women Writers Forum of Bangalore accepted the challenge and executed it well too putting their heads together in contributing to the final draft. Thanks to communication technology, we recorded each one over phone from their homes sitting in our studios and edited suitably. And the program, the beautiful compilation of their poems is going on air today at 12.30pm from Allindiaradio Bengaluru, simultaneously broadcast from all the Akashvani stations of Karnataka. Broadcast is also available on Newsonair mobile app anywhere.
