92.7 BIG FM ALL SET TO TAKE LISTENERS ON A MUSICAL JOURNEY CELEBRATING THE RICH FAMILY LEGACY OF THE ROSHANS
Mumbai, January, 5, 2017: Known for hitting the right chord when it comes to music, 92.7 BIndia’s largest and No.1 radio network is all set to take listeners on a new musical journey with ‘Roshan se Roshan Tak’. The musical concert will be conducted by none other than the legendary music director Rajesh Roshan. Present at the announcement conference of the concert today, Rajesh Roshan along with Sudesh Bhosle, Palak Muchhal, Sadhana Sargam, Mohammed Aziz, Shivranjani and Amay Date announced the dates of the musical gala. The mega concert is scheduled to take place on the 28th of January 2017 at Highland Spring Ground, Thane followed by the second concert on 11th Feb at Akota Stadium, Vadodara.92.7 BIG FM is the exclusive radio partner for both the concerts.
IG FM,For the very first time, leading playback singers will get the chance to perform live with Rajesh Roshan, along with a live 50 piece orchestra. Singers like Sudesh Bhosle, Babul Supriyo, Sadhana Sargam, Mohammad Aziz, Udit Naryan, Jubin Nautiyal, Palak Muchhal, Pratibha Baghel, Shivranjani, Amay Date will perform at the concert on Jan 28 and Feb 11 at Thane and Vadodara respectively.
Celebrating the rich legacy of the Roshans, the concert will be a mix of melodies across four generations, with songs from the era of Roshanlal Nagrath to the contemporary era of Rajesh Roshan. Roshanlal Nagrath gave music for the award winning film Taj Mahal (1963) and other popular movies like Barsaat ki Raat (1960), Aarti (1962), Dil hi Toh Hai (1963) among others. Rajesh Roshan composed music for blockbusters like Julie, Mr. Natwarlal, and Karan Arjun, and his upcoming film Kaabil starring Hrithik Roshan, the music of which is already being appreciated, is on the brink of release.
Talking about the concert, Rajesh Roshan said, “I feel proud that my father and composer Roshanlal Nagrath triggered the Roshan legacy, famous for songs like Jo vada kiya vo nibhana padega, Paao chhoon lene do and Jurm-e-ulfat pe (Taj Mahal, 1963), Laaga chunari mein daag (Dil Hi To Hai, 1963) among others, which will be relived at the concert, making this initiative even more special for us. We are happy to be associated with 92.7 BIG FM for our journey. The radio network, known for sensing the musical pulse of its listeners, will take this offering to music lovers all across the country, and we are honored to have gotten an opportunity to relive our legacy by partnering with them.”
Speaking about the concert, Sudesh Bhosle said, “The Roshan family has collectively given the industry many super-hits, from Taj Mahal (1963) to blockbusters like Kaho na Pyaar Hai and Krrish, and their latest film Kaabil seems equally promising, if the first couple of songs released are anything to go by. The upcoming concerts will celebrate the ever strengthening bond that the Roshans have managed to build with the industry and audiences over generations together.
