"If @BiggBoss rolls in #Tamil, I wish #TheBoss of Southern cinema, the undisputed #SuperstarRajinikanth would host it," Bollywood's only PR guru Dale Bhagwagar has speculated on Twitter this week.
We aren't sure if his wish would come true but the celebrity publicist sure has touched the right nerve. Dale has earlier handled the media for Big Brother winner Shilpa Shetty and a full 20 contestants of its Hindi avatar Bigg Boss hosted by none other than Bollywood superstar Salman Khan.
Rajinikanth has always been a peoples man. Even at 66, there's no stopping the Kabali actor reinventing himself with every film. Not only Chennai, but all of India has time-and-again experienced the maddening frenzy Brand Rajinikanth has generated.
Rajini is currently filming for 2.0, a science-fiction film written and directed by one of his favourite filmmakers S. Shankar, with music by AR Rahman. The movie is termed as a "spiritual successor" (read sequel) to the 2010 Tamil film Enthiran (Robot in Hindi), and features him alongside Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson.
It can be noted here that National Award winning art director Sabu Cyril who designed the sets for Enthiran, had also designed the sets for the sixth season of Bigg Boss.
