The event witnessed cinematic maestros like Tisca Chopra, Swara Bhasker, Anusha Bose, Abhishek Sanyal, Mansi Jain and Veena Nair who came together to narrate their stories of perfection.
Trailers of four perfect Barrel Select shorts including ‘Chhuri’ by Mansi Jain starring Tisca Chopra, Surveen Chawla and Anurag Kashyap; ‘Durga’ directed by Abhisek Sanyal and produced by Imtiaz Ali; ‘Shame’ by Anusha Bose starring Swara Bhasker and ‘Her first time’ by Divya Unny starring Veena Nair were screened at the event as these story tellers shared their motivation behind creating these perfect films.

· ‘Chhuri’, by Mansi Jain starring Tisca Chopra, Surveen Chawla and Anurag Kashyap features the story of a couple where the philandering husband has an affair outside of his marriage. The unconventional plot of the movie will create curiosity in the minds of the viewer when the wife confronts the mistress and an unusual and surprising twist transpires.
· ‘Durga’ directed by Abhisek Sanyal and produced by Imtiaz Ali is the story of a man who is away from home leaving behind an ailing father, his helpless wife and a disappointed daughter, going through a phase where things are not in his favor. On his arrival back home he realizes that his father is no more, his daughter passes on a message that her grandfather had left for his son. Young and inept to understand life and death, the young girl goes through a surreal experience herself when she tries to voice her own opinion.
· ‘Shame’ by Anusha Bose starring Swara Bhasker and Ranveer Shourie is the twisted journey of a meek, vulnerable woman who emerges from the background to unapologetically reclaim her dignity, confidence and her right to desire. This dark comedy walks the thin line that separates the two worlds; the haves from the have-nots; the affluent from the service providers; the indulgent from the repressed.
· ‘Her first time’ by Divya Unny starring Veena Nair is a short film about the relationship between a working mother and her 11-year-old daughter. The film features one evening in both their lives where they are dealing with a crisis situation. Mother who is a gynecologist is dealing with a sensitive pregnancy case and the daughter back home gets her first period. The narrative draws a parallel between hospital and home, and a common thread that strengthens the mother-daughter bond despite their physical distance. The film is the first one in an anthology series of 10 short films themed around the lives of women in urban spaces.
