Ola Driver And Passengers Rescue An Injured Couple On the Road

Pune, 10th November 2017: With so many untoward incidents on the rise, it is heartening to see some peoplego out of their way to offer assistance and support at the time of need. One such incident took place in Pune where two passengers, Rutuja Vaishnava and Rohit Bairagi, riding an Ola towards Yerwada saw a couple who had met with an accident. While a large crowd had gathered there owing to the episode, no one came forward to help. However, the Ola driver, Mr. Inderpal Singh, along with the consent of the passengers jumped to offer help and took the injured to a nearby hospital.
The timely aid offered by the Ola driver without thinking of his next trip was much appreciated by the passengers who sent out a series of tweets applauding his efforts. Commenting on the incident, passenger Ms Rutuja Vaishnava, “Not many drivers agree to stop in such situations because they need to complete several trips and ferry multiple passengers in the city. Mr. Inderpal Singh’s compassion and customer-centric attitude won us over. The couple was badly hurt and looking for help. Mr. Singh, without batting an eyelid, rose to the occasion and immediately agreed to help the injured. We were really happy and relieved to be of help to them.”
The act of kindness and humanity shown by Mr. Inderpal Singh is not just a great example for his fellow driver partners but also an inspiration for everyone around. Speaking on the incident, Mr. Singh said, “I feel privileged to be able to help those who need assistance. Ola has always encouraged us to go that extra mile and I did just that. The passengers were also very accommodating and sympathetic towards the injured and we mutually agreed to help the victims.”
