AIR, Sambalpur celebrated its 57th Foundation Day on 26th May, 2019 in a symbolic manner keeping in view the devastation caused by the severe cyclonic storm that made a landfall on the coast of Odisha on 3rd of this month. At a time when the state is struggling with rebuilding its infrastructure, assets, livelihood and lives, showing solidarity to extreme natural disaster, the members of AIR, Sambalpur parivar decided to celebrate it unceremoniously unlike the yesteryear.
To commemorate the occasion, members of Akashvani Recreation Club arranged a general meeting in the evening which was chaired by the Head of Office, Shri M.R.K.Rao in the august presence of Head of Programme, Shri Jayaram Munda and Assistant Director(News), Shri Satya Narayan Pattanaik. At the outset Shri K.M.Bibhar, Secretary, ARC welcomed all the members and spoke about the glorious past and remembered the contributions of the then officers/officials in building up the station. Heads of all the three wings viz., Engg., Programme and RNU also shared their experience and call upon all members of staff to work together for the betterment of the station. Shri Manoj Pujari, PEX, Shri G.B.Kalo, AO & Shri S.R.Panda, Tech. also spoke on the occasion. At the end, Shri Santosh Ping, PEX & Cultural Secretary, ARC offered vote of thanks.
