The panel discussion and sessions by eminent speakers delved into the effect of GST and how technology will enable the country to smoothly transition to the new tax system. The panel discussion was on the ‘Role of Technology to facilitate a smooth transition to GST’.

86% of the attendees said that having a GST-ready ERP will ease their burden of GST related process changes and make work easy for employees. Simplicity and cost-effective ERP solutions were the top two requirements among 65% of the audience. Majority of the audience also believed that the cloud working with an ERP would reduce reliance on people and reduce costs considerably in terms of ongoing and up-front expenses. 50% attendees said too much reliance on people to manage data was the reason for an ERP implementation.
