AIR Mumbai had organized an exclusive concert ?Onjalit Swar Tujhech - arthat Vindanche Sahitya Darshan?





Literature, music & art enrich human culture. All India Radio has been enriching its listeners culturally for last nine decades. Dnyanpeeth laureate writer Govind Vinayak alias Vinda Karandikar's multifaceted literature too has been rainbowing cultural canvas of the readers. This being birth centenary year of this renowned litterateur, AIR Mumbai had organized an exclusive concert "Onjalit Swar Tujhech - arthat Vindanche Sahitya Darshan" to unfold the diverse facets of Vinda's literature before invited audience. This concert held in the auditorium of AIR Mumbai on 19th July 2018, was a mix of poems, pros & songs written by Vinda. 

The programme began with the recorded greetings by eminent artist like Tablanawaz Ustad Zakir Hussain, veteran actress Sulochana Didi, on the occasion of 91st birth day of Indian Broadcasting Day. ADG (P) (WR I & II), Shree Neeraj Agarwal addressed the audience. He reviewed the journey of AIR for past nine decades. The artists were felicitated in an innovative way. Instead of presenting bouquet, they were presented books written by Vinda Karandikar. 

The concert opened with an audio track of popular poem from our archives recited by Vinda himself. Vinda has experimented with poetry and penned poems of different forms and genres. The poems including his Aatataayi Abhang, Taalchitra, Virupika, poems on women were presented. The prose section contained excerpts of his essays translated play, audio tracks of eminent personalities including his daughter, depicting multiple facets of his literature and personality. The poems, essays and translated play were presented by eminent theatre artists like Tushar Dalvi, Shantanu Moghe, Anagha Modak and child artist Bhagyashree Gawade. 

Five songs were composed specially for this concert. This songs were presented in short intervals. The songs were composed by Abhijit Limaye and Hemant Sapkale and rendered by popular singers like Nandesh Umap, Suchitra Bhagwat, Mandar Apte and Dr. Purnima Patwardhan. 

The concert ended with title song "Onjalit Swar Tujhech . . . . . ." , composed for AIR Pune earlier. 

Knowledgeable and subtle compering of Dr. Veena Sanekar encompassed the whole presentation. 

The rounds of applaud given by the audience throughout the programme was the indication that they enjoyed it to the fullest, and appreciated the quality of presentation of Vinda's literature and innovations made in designing the programme. The houseful auditorium was speechless and stunned when the programme ended. The essence of Vinda's literature unfolded artistically lingered in the minds of the audience, and a sense of satisfaction in the minds of AIR Mumbai team.

The broadcast is tonight from 0930-1100 pm from all the stations in Maharashtra.
