Srinagar 11th July 2019: Rich tributes were paid to prominent Kashmiri poet, translator and calligrapher Fazil Kashmiri on his 15th Death Anniversary. In this connection, a function was orgaised at Headquarters of the Academy which was presided over by Justice (Rtd.) Bashir Ahmed Kirmani, while former Secretary JKAACL Dr. Rafiq Masoodi, Zeeshan Fazil, and Chief Editor JKAACL Mr. M. Ashraf Tak were also present in the presentatrion of Naat of Fazil Kashmiri by noted Naat Khawan of Kashmir Jenab Abul Hassan Farooqi while Mr. Abdul Rashid Hafiz and his accompanist presented Kalam-e-Fazil. Mr. Fayaz Dilbar presented a paper on the life and contribution of Fazil kashmiri. Fazil Memorial Award- 2019 were given to noted Urdu/ Kashmiri poet Rafiq Raaz, Head P.G. Deptt. of Kashmiri Dr. Majrooh Rashid and noted Broadcaster Mr. Abdul Ahad Farhad. Mr. Zeeshan Fazil, Dr. Rafiq Masoodi and Justice (Rtd.) Bashir Ahmed Kirmani in their speech paid rich tributes to Fazil Kashmiri. The function was anchored by Dr. Gulzar Ahmed Rather. Prominent Artists, Writers and Admirers of Fazil Kashmiri were present on the occasion.
