Sambalpuri Day is being celebrated at as many as seventeen places in the Western Odisha commemorating the birthday of the Father of Sambalpuri language Shri Satya Narayan Bohidar. People of this area enthusiastically wearing Sambalpuri clothes, singing and dancing in Sambalpuri song and dance, enjoying delicious Sambalpuri food and beverages with recitation of Sambalpuri poems in a glittering function arranged in the open space at the Kacheri Road, Sambalpur. Undoubtedly, Sambalpuri song 'Rangabati' is much popular in and outside the country. Sambalpuri art, culture, heritage and handloom is widely accepted throughout the globe.
Staff of AIR, Sambalpur also no exception to it. Showing solidarity to the occasion, the staff of the station have put on Sambalpuri clothes and enjoying the day.
