It's with great sadness & of course trembling fingers, I'm attempting this post to convey the sad demise of Shri Autar Krishen Rahbar, a proud son of #kasheer, the roots of which he nurtured by writing innumerable books justifiably glorifying its men, minds, nature, sanctity, Rishi Cult, grandeur of Shavism to name a few. He didn't stop there. As planner & producer of iconic programmes over the then known Radio Kashmir, he show-cased origin & evolution of kashmiri language & literature in appropriate radio genres & ,in a way, brought back to life something that hitherto lay in extinct or moribund state. He loved #Kashmir above all else.
Apart from Language & Literature chronicled by him, he, as a contemporary of AkhtarMuhi-ud-Din, Hari Krishan Kaul, Hriday Kaul Bharati, Bansi Nirdosh etc introduced plots & themes new & novel to kashmiri fiction which of course will immortalise him.
He handed over his soul to the Creator late last night.
COUNTRY LOSES A MAN OF LETTERS, A LITERATEUR OF EMINENCE, A BROADCATER WITH DIFFERENCE, A GENTLEMAN WHOSE EYES REMAINED PERENNIALLY MOIST AFTER HE RELUCTANTLY LEFT THE VALLEY.
Finally he chose another heaven in God's kingdom. May he get eternal peace.
