BES(I) Pune connects with Students of Media Institutes in Virtual Open House organised on World Radio Day

These were some of the views expressed by young students of prominent Media Institutes of Pune during a Virtual Open House on the occasion of "WORLD RADIO DAY. The event was organized by Broadcast Engineering Society(India), Pune Chapter in association with Akashavani Pune Parivar.

Over 60 students from six prominent Media Institutes of Pune participated in the Event Each participant was given just 2 minutes to put forth their views on the topic - Is Radio Needed Today? How it can be (more) Relevant ?

Almost every student emphatically said that the Radio is needed. They put forward views as to how and why it is important to have Radio and How the Radio should adopt new technologies and connect with the Youth. They were judged by a panel of eminent Jury comprising of Shri Yunus Khan, Announcer Vividh Bharati, Smt. Jyoti Ambekar former News Director, DDK, Mumbai and Shri Muzammil Patel, Programme Officer i/c Yuvawani, AIR Pune.

The names of the winners were announced at the end of the event and the certificate of participation to all were instantly delivered. The Event was meticulously conducted by Smt. Mridula Ghodke, former News Reader and was organised by the core team of Ravindra Ranjekar, Abdul Hebbalkar, Jyoti Kaulwar, Prafulla Waichal and Bindu Nair.
