Pune Hams VU2RCP along with मराठी विज्ञान परिषद पुणे, TTA, Muktangan Science Exploratory, Padmini Electronics & IETE jointly celebrated World Radio Day on Saturday's 13th February 2021. Venue was BVB's Muktangan Exploratory Science Centre, Pune. Vintage Radio Exhibition of Mr Shripad Kulkarni from VU3YBU was open to public. AIR Pune also participated in this function. A stall was installed in exhibition for AIR Pune to display DRM radio system. Mrs Chitrarekha Kulkarni, Asst. Director AIR Pune given live Demo on 'What is DRM? DRM broadcast from AIR Pune' and explained DRM technology to public. Staff of AIR Pune shown demo of DRM receiver on Car music system and explained advantages of DRM broadcasting. 'Quiz on Radio' Quiz Master Mr. Vinay RR MVP Pune conducted the quiz competition. Quiz was designed by SWL Vishwas Kale. Shri. Vishwas Kale also delivered speech on 'Radio Yesterday, today & Tomorrow'. It was followed by 'Radio Listening is my Hobby' by VU3UEL Dilip Bapat from Alibag with a demo. Many students shown keen interest to attend exhibition and attended speeches and demos. The response from Radio listeners and lovers was awesome.
