Mahankal, Sodhi win gold medals
Mumbai, November 29: Sarvadnya Mahankal and Aseemsingh Sodhi, both from Mumbai Taekwondo Academy scored impressive wins to pick up the gold medals in the inaugural Mumbai Consul General Cup National Taekwondo Championship, at the Bharat Ratna Rajiv Gandhi Sports Complex, Dharavi.
Mahankal looked to be in good shape and had no problems in dealing with Sanket Bhosale from Swaraj Sports Foundation in the Senior Male Kyorugi U80 category and comfortably went onto grab the top prize.
Aseemsingh Sodi followed up another gold medal victory for MTA as he defeated Anup Pegu from Combat Fitness System, Maharashtra, in the Senior Male Kyorugi Heavyweight category, ensuring they increase their overall points tally.
