DLF Foundation hosts Annual Professional Scholars Conclave 2018

-       A social initiative aims to benefit children from underprivileged backgrounds

New Delhi: DLF Foundation hosted the Annual Professional Scholar’s Conclave 2018 under the aegis of Talent Nurturing Programme in Delhi. It was a social initiative aim to benefit children from underprivileged backgrounds and also to provide an essential platform for the scholar children to network and build their skill. A two days workshop focused on imparting soft skills training, awareness building for accessing job markets and enhancing general awareness.
Dr. Vinay Sahani, CEO, DLF Foundation welcomed the chief guest Hon’ble Shri Vijay Goel, Minister of State of Parliamentary affairs and statistics programme implementation in his address, “In order to provide quality education to the children of economically weaker section of the society, DLF Foundation has undertaken several education initiatives which have helped in fulfilling dreams of over 12 thousand students every year. Through Nurturing Talent Program in Professional Category, the Foundation has supported 253 Scholars for professional studies in Engineering, Medical, Information Technology (IT), Sports and Business Management Studies (MBA) till date.”
The first day of the workshop focused on the importance and intricacies of communication. The students were educated on the barriers which hinder effective communication. Through this, they were taught practical tips to stay motivated, so that they could become more aware of themselves and seek to build all the resources of success within their own capabilities. At the same time, with the aid of Neuro-Linguistic programming, it was stressed upon the scholars that they should set realistic and smart goals for themselves, which are in sync with their skills and social environment. 
The second day of the workshop was oriented more towards design training, which is used to instil better problem solving thought processes by utilising logic, imagination, intuition and systemic reasoning. A dedicated session was conducted to focus on exploring career possibilities for the students present.
