In a glittering function at New Delhi last night former Aditional Director General of Doordarshan Dr.Rafeeq Masoodi was honored by an international literary and cultural organisation Markaz Aalmi Urdu Majlis (Regd) New Delhi.Dr.Masoodi was awarded for his emmence contribution and services in the field of art culture and Languages especially in the state of J&K.
Dr.Masoodi was presented a citation, a shawl and memento on the occasion."Dr.Masoodi is truly a cultural bridge between the State of jammu & Kashmir and rest of the country"read the citation. A galaxy of writers poets broadcasters and academicians were present on the occasion.Event was followed by a grand Mushaira which went past midnight and ended at 1am wherein poets across the country had come to participate.
Dr.Haneef Tareen patron of organisation conducted the proceedings.
