The trailer was launched in the intriguing set-up of an ancient building representing the vintage feel of Kolkata heritage, as the background of this story is about touching memories of hidden treasure in Bengali history through a diverse tale of the rich culture of Bengal.
Guptodhoner Sondhane unfolds with Subarna Sen aka Sona Da (Abir Chatterjee) the renowned History professor from Oxford, who has come to Kolkata for a short visit. His nephew, Abir (Arjun Chakraborty) decides to visit his ancestral home which is as old as the time of the Mughal Emperor, Shah Jahan. There Sona Da finds a hidden clue (like a riddle) which after solving reveals that the lost treasure of Mughal Prince, Shah Suza is kept secured within the property. Thus, the quest to search for the treasure begins and Jhinuk (Ishaa Saha), Abir’s childhood friend joins them in the mission. The valiant trio stands their ground, fighting off evil as Sona Da uses his wit and historical knowledge to overcome all obstacles left behind to unearth one of the greatest treasures of Bengal.
Audience will get to see Abir Chatterjee essay the role of Sona Da with poise and classiness, in a never seen before avatar. The interesting point is that Sona Da is an original creation, not from existing literature. Every Bengali household has a Sona Da, a character which is relatable. The film experiments and showcases what every Bengali loves – mystery and adventure coupled with a treasure hunt that takes one through the beautiful journey of Bengal's past.
The film is releasing on 27th April 2018.
