This women’s day, celebrate Her timeless beauty

Noted singer, recordist Rani Varma pays tribute to some of Hindi movie classic songs that described every facet of feminine beauty, with her unique show – Jash-E-Husn
Mumbai, March 1, 2018:  It is a celebration of female beauty. It is a show that applauds the timeless beauty in each woman.
This International Women’s Day on March 8th, well-known singer Rani Varma is launching her new show – Jash-E-Husn that reflects beauty in a unique way. “I have selected 40 Hindi film songs that describe various facets of beauty in women. The lyrics are so beautiful and the music is divine. Jash-E-Husn is also my dedication to the huge tradition of Hindi film music and dances that has celebrated and empowered women for generations,” says Varma.
Varma spent entire 2017 in selecting the songs for the show. A trained recording professional from the US, Varma owns a sound studio in Mumbai. The next task was to separate the original sound tracks of the selected songs and re-recording them. She then superimposed on these songs with the new music. Out of the 40 songs, Varma will present 28 songs on her show on March 8.
Some of the songs selected by her are Evergreen…”Chaudavi ka Chand ho”Kabhi Kabhi mere dil mei,” Chandan Sa Badan”, In aankhon ki Masti ke” While the original concept has been spelled out by her, Varma has been aided very effectively by Dr Sunil Deodhar (script), Sandeep Padiar (direction), Vishwas Natekar (choreography) and Amogh Phadke (lights) equally effectively. The show is already exciting music and theatre buffs with leading actor Sonali Kulkarni offering to compere the first edition.
Varma is not stopping here and is planning to take Jash-E-Husn global. Theatre-lovers may remember that Varma, along with her elder sister Vandana Gupte had taken their theatrical performance titled ‘Ti’ ( a woman-centric theatrical experience) very successfully across the US and Europe.
Jashn E Husn will be held on March 8, 2018 at 7.45 pm at Rangsharda auditorium, Bandra. Tickets are available at theatre as well as on bookmyshow.com
