The sweet, soothing and melodious voice of Smt.Pratibharani Panda, Senior Announcer shall no more be reverberated from AIR, Sambalpur station. Her journey started in AIR, Sambalpur with the epigraph 'Vande Mataram' since 30th July,1992 concludes with 'Jay Hindi' on 30th April, 2019. Being a simple, sober and soft spoken lady, Smt. Panda was a sincere and devoted worker mostly concentrating on her job. Apart from announcement duty, she used to shoulder Ghara Sansar (Women's programme), Chithi Paichhu (Listener's Letters) and Hello Anurodh programmes which were quite popular. Because she loves the microphone the most, the programmes she used to present were highly appreciated by the audience. She was the only regular Announcer and the last Announcer of the station who attains the age of superannuation. Her absence will be felt by AIR, Sambalpur in particular and the audience in general
